Perforated IUD

Last week we discussed imaging technique for IUD placement and the importance of a complete sagittal and coronal sweep of the uterus. This week we will review a perforated IUD. You can see that it is positioned high in the fundus however it perforates the endometrium and a segment is clearly identified in the myometrium. Take a look at the cine clip here and you can clearly see the endometrial canal separate from the IUD. Enjoy!
